IMPORTANT!!!: After issues with 2.6 of Improvments in gore I went back and tested with Braver's 2.5 version of Improvments in Gore. Everything is working well with that version plus the current version of PsiBurner's FX.
For the time being until I can finish rewriting my mod to fit with his new version
USE VERSION 2.5 OF HIS MOD for my mod to work as intended
************************************************************************************************
PsiBurner's FX plugin for Bravercoolio's "Improvements in Gore" mod.
This is a tweak on the damage fx. It's an experimentation in depth and deformation utilizing depth and height variables in mapping, giving the illusion of realistic weapon damage on live tissue without having to deform the mesh of the ped model itself. Shots will tear into your target leaving gaping wounds that appear to have torn chunks out of their flesh. Shots to the face will leave your target completely unrecognizable, replacing their features with cavernous holes and minced meat.
As mentioned in the filename, this is a plugin/replacement of the ped damage effects contained in Bravercoolio's "Improvements in Gore" mod. Which is the best damn blood and gore mod on the market. If you haven't tried it, you're missing out. Download it...
And don't skimp out on the "head blood pooling" option either. It's an optional file in Bravercoolio's .rar file. Use it. It's worth it.
Bravercoolio's mod is needed for this to work as intended. Head to the link below and download it. Then download my modification and follow the instructions in the .txt file
After you've done all that and had the time of your life mowing down our unfortunate AI buddies in game. Head on over to Bravercoolio's page and give him a well deserved pat on the back for all of his hard work.
quick and dirty proof of concept. I'll be working on this continuously within the coming weeks and updating accordingly with all new texture maps and tweaks to the decal logic.
v1.1
-Improved maps for bullet hits
-Improved blood pooling fx
-damage tweaks
v1.2
-Major gore improvement
-Bigger and better wounds, viscera and blood pooling
v1.3
Bigger, badder and bloodier than before
-revamped texture sizes to coincide more closely with caliber damages (pro-tip: Check out the damage from the Super Shorty Shotgun. wew)
-New FX decals
- xml tweaks
v1.4 reworked to bring back those massive deep hits and deformations previously seen in earlier installments.
testing shockwave effects that will deform the flesh around the wound. The textures given here should still be considered
placeholders. They're very dirty proofs of concept. Better textures will come. WIP
(one of the blood pools used in this mod come from radicalradish's "Radical Damage Visuals" All credits to him for that one pool design)
Let me know what you think. Vote on the mod page and contribute any screenshots or videos you might take.
Thanks for downloading!
HAVE FUN!
