Don Abundio felt someone was following him, but he didn’t turn his head to see who was, instead he rushed, holding the machete (Mexican spade) that always carried with him. However, increasingly felt closer to that someone that was following him. He felt cold, and ignoring the fear he decided to confront whomever was, he turned his face and saw a diabolical scene. It was … a great black horse, brilliant and glossy hair, but with creepy eyes that seemed to breathe fire. Sat a tall, a thin man with a black hat. It had no eyes, nose or mouth. In short, it was a terrible thing, so Abundio couldn’t move or speak.

Shaking with terror he saw the charro to grab with his hand that looked red and long fingernails, bag from his horse and offering it extended the terrified man, who saw the bag was opened and showed its interior full of money; Abundio didn’t take it so the black charro turned his horse without a word and walked away … Abundio, full of terror went to his house.

He told his wife what happened, they both couldn’t sleep that night, so the next day Abundio got up early and went to the place where she had appeared the mysterious charro.
