Hey guys! The text I give to you will give you a more realistic approach to flying helicopters in GTA. This is for:
1. People who prefer realism and challenge to simple and arcade
2. Are tired of how easy it is to 'fly a heli' in gta
3. Aspiring heli pilots
4. people who want to know what it's actually like flying a helicopter.
While this isn't a 1-to-1 representation of flying a helicopter (due to engine limitations), it gets very, very close.
Details like hover instability (foot pedal / yaw dependencies), and more sensitive damage make it more realistic. You actually need to put in input to hover in place (as a real helicopter requires!)
You can actually pull off some realistic maneuvers here!
To replace, find the rpf that contains the handling.meta file and replace all of the values I've provided.
IF using fivem, create a handling resource.lua file containing the proper calls (note: you ONLY need to call the handling.meta. No need for vehicles.meta or any of the other files!)
Edit: I look forward to seeing your uploads of helicopter footage to youtube, and you REAL helicopter pilots creating Heli-training courses / videos! Have fun! :D
Chagelog:
v2 Comes with fixed XML headers and tailers for fiveM, an additional fiveM resource folder for drag n drop capabilities, AND instructions on how to get it working and some common reasons on why it should NOT! (Nothing fancy really...)
v3 Comes with additional rudder dependency. This means that the heli CAN rudder out of control and you'll need to put some foot pedal in to keep her steady. More control, means more challenge to keep her steady, but more rewarding result!
